PhD Position in Bioorganic Chemistry, Germany 2009
A fully funded 36 month PhD position is available to work on “Natural product synthesis and evaluation of antimicrobial activity” as part of the Marie Curie Training Network “Red Cat“ (“Natural Products and related Redox Catalysts: Basic Research and Applications in Medicine and Agriculture”). This project will be hosted jointly between the company ECOSpray UK Ltd. (located near Cambridge, UK) and the Division of Bioorganic Chemistry, School of Pharmacy, University of Saarland. The student will receive a generous stipend as part of an individual training and research package. The latter will allow her/him to conduct research at the host sites as well as at the RWTH Aachen (Germany). Training will be provided in research and research related matters as part of a comprehensive training programme with events held across Europe. The anticipated staring date of this project in the 1st of June 2009.
