Our group is interested in the characterization of signal transduction cascades in cellular differentiation during embryogenesis. Part of our research focuses on the analysis of molecular mechanisms of heart development in Xenopus laevis and Drosophila melanogaster. At this point we have a PhD position open for projects that aim to identify molecules involved in cardiac specification and differentiation, as well as gene regulation, in Drosophila. Candidates are required to have a Master’s degree or a Diploma in natural sciences and are expected to have a genuine interest in developmental biology.
