Scholarship Description: A PhD fellowship is available in organic chemistry at DTU Chemistry. The vacant position is part of the Nanoguide project, which is a large strategic effort funded by the Danish Strategic Research Council, involving multiple research groups at the Technical University of Denmark and Copenhagen University Hospital – Rigshospitalet. The project is carried out in collaboration with two companies, GE Healthcare and Nanovi. The project aims to increase the quality of treatment for cancer patients that receives radiotherapy by developing new nanoparticle based imaging agents that can be used to enhance treatment precision, i.e. to increase radiation of tumor tissue and avoid radiation of healthy tissue. The position will be available from July 1st, 2012 and will be supervised by Associate Professor Mads H. Clausen.
