PhD Position Proliferation and Differentiation of Neural Stem Cells (Münster)

Westphalian Wilhelms University has an open Position for a

PhD – Student
3 years (TVL E13/2)

Applications are invited for a position within the group of Dr. Jens Schwamborn to investigate the mechanisms of fate specification in adult neural stem cells.
Neural Stem cells are capable of generating two different kinds of progeny: On one hand, they give rise to differentiating cells, on the other hand, they generate other stem cells which continue to proliferate. We are interested in the mechanisms and molecules that regulate this process of asymmetric cell division. More Informations:

Successful applicants should have a strong interest in Cell and Neuro biology. Ideally the candidate has some experience in Genomics (microarray analysis) and/or Stem Cell Biology.  We are looking for highly motivated people who share our passion for research, are interested in aquiring new skills and wish to be part of an international team.
