Project description
Cell-matrix adhesion is a fundamental process by which cells interact with their immediate environment, sense and respond to it, control their morphology and migrate. These functions are mediated by dynamic adhesion sites located along the plasma membrane of the cell and composed of numerous different proteins interacting with each other. We will develop and apply advanced fluorescence-microscopy imaging, statistical, computational and systems biology approaches in order to study how adhesion sites get organized and respond to different extracellular and intracellular cues. For this project we are looking for post-doctoral fellows and PhD students enthusiastic about systems biology and interdisciplinary work, with a background in biology or physics.

Development of spatially resolve approaches for fluorescence correlation spectroscopy.
Requirements
Requirements: Master/diploma degree in physics or a related field with experience in experimental optics and instrumentation, as well as interest in addressing biological problems.

Now I am going to complete a thesis paper in partial fulfillment of the masters degree inRAPD analysis of mangrove species from INDIAN STATISTICAL INSTITUE, KOLKATA, INDIA to get the degree in JULY, 2009 from FOREST RESEARCH INSTITUTE, DEHRADUN, University,INDIA . I am syed mustafa presently working in industrial R&D since from 4 yrs and i did my masters in Biotechnology in A Grade and a have a patent and a publication in my M.Sc thesis.I have good experience in microbiology,protein chemistry,molecular biology,glycobiology,biotransformation and overall process and product development.But i want to upgrade my research career with doctorate program and i am ready to join the same program at any time,if full scholarships are available.please guide me in this regard
I am a graduate student from Nepal. I have completed Master Degree in physics from Tribhuvan University, Kathamandu, Nepal. I have keen interest in the Computational/Theoretical physics and condensed matter physics. I have done research on the topic “First-principles study of equilibrium configuration of Benzene and substituted benzenes” using Gaussian 98 set of programs in my master degree in physics. In my research, I have investigated the equilibrium configuration and electronic properties of benzene and its derivatives using first principles Hartree-Fock (HF), M?ller-Plesset (MP) Perturbation theory, Configuration Interaction (CI) and Density Functional Theory (DFT) methods. The results of my research were an improvement over other similar methods, for example MINDO/3 method. I have also done project work on the topic “Fabrication of mini size UHF pest repeller” in my bachelor degree study. I have strong motivation and commitment to complete my higher studies in physics. Due to poor economical condition I can’t afford the cost of my study at all from my side so I need some kinds of scholarship or study grants.
