Ph.D. Position at Umeå Plant Science Centre, Umeå University, Sweden
I am seeking a motivated and independent student to study the molecular
evolution of plant defense genes in Populus tremula. This work involves
a combination of lab and field studies, and is part of a study funded by
the Swedish Research Council.The position require a B.Sc. degree (or
equivalent) in Biology or another relevant area of science, and
preferentially experience in, and enthusiasm for, population genetics
and evolutionary biology. Knowledge of standard molecular techniques
(PCR, DNA sequencing), and/or mathematics/statistics is considered
highly advantageous.
The positions carry a salary according to a current levels for graduate
students at the University of Umeå. Entry level salary is currently c.
20k SEK per month (equivalent to approx. 2100 Euro). Applications should

Dear Sir, my name is Kayvan Agahi, I have six years experinces working in laboratory at shahed university, plant breeding and agronomy department. I have published some papers in I.SI master journals. I did some researches about molecular markers and other researches with our department here. I am very interested in joining a ph.d. position about plant breeding (especially Molecular genetics and gene transfering). I have good knowledge of plant tissue culture either.
