The Department of Computer Science at Southern Illinois University seeking highly motivated and creative students who are eager to get involved in cutting edge research. Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or Computer Engineering and have a solid background on Computer Graphics, and Geometry Processing. We are looking for individuals motivated to pursue research under the project Personalizing, Fabricating and 3D Printing of Shapes. The positions are part of the newly funded Graphics & Entertainment Technology Lab.

Candidates should have a solid background in computer graphics, and applied geometry processing. Excellent programming skills in C++ are expected and experience in Matlab, OpenGL, LibIgl, Eigen, or CUDA development is a plus. Fluent communication skills in English are essential.
The Graphics and Entertainment Technology Lab lead by Dr. Christos Mousas is a new group at SIU, focusing on computer graphics, animation, virtual reality, and digital fabrication.
