Applications are invited by the Communication Systems Group (CSG) at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, for two PhD studentships in the area of wireless networking, with competitive salaries. Our group conducts high quality research on future Internet and autonomic network architectures, wireless and delay tolerant networks, and security in wired and wireless networks.

—Topics—
We are looking for candidates who are highly motivated to conduct top research and pursue a doctoral degree, while participating in the group’s teaching activities. The focus of these positions is on theoretical and practical aspects of wireless and mobile networks, and successful candidates will have the chance to shape their research project inline with their interests and skills. Possible areas and topics include, among others,
* Wireless Mesh Networks
* Delay Tolerant Networks
* Vehicular Networks
* Mobility Modeling for Wireless Networks
* Cooperation and Resilience in Self-organized Networks
—Requirements—
Candidates should have a Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related area, preferably with a focus on networking or communications. They are expected to have good analytical skills and be proficient in the area of applied probability theory. Good programming skills and experience in popular simulation environments is a plus.
A good level of written and spoken English is mandatory. German language skills are considered of added value (courses are offered in the university throughout the year).

I did MS-CS in Networks from UAAR, Rawalpindi, Pakistan recently. Now i intend to avail some scholarship in the wireless and Networks field. I have got 3.5 CGPA in MS. Which country scholarships are easier to avail and for this what is the criteria besides academic achievements for getting a research scholarship.
