Work Experience:

I have gained wide experience in providing direct patient care in medical and surgical wards, high dependency and the intensive care units. Then, I moved to neurotheatres and have become a senior nurse there. I am very interested in this field and have gained valuable experience in it. I worked as a scrub nurse and first assistant to neurosurgeon and Oromaxillo facial surgeon especially with combined surgeries between neurosurgeon and oromaxillo surgeon. I am familiar with a variety of techniques used in neurosurgery as the use of neuro-navigation, neuro-endoscope,all instruments used in spinal fusion, microscopic neurosurgery and pediatric ventriculo-peritoneal shunt insertion.
I have also been working as a senior staff nurse at Vascular Surgery Theater and I have gained extensive experience in it. I worked as a scrub nurse and first assistant to vascular surgeon. I am familiar with all vascular surgery procedures (Kidney Transplantation, carotid end arterectomy, Aortic Surgery, Femoral bypass surgery, Axillo bifemoral bypass, Arterio-Venous Fistula, and all artificial vascular graft implantations). Also I have gained good experience in Orthopedic surgery.

Aspirations:

I hold a masters degree in public health from Jordan University and my masters thesis was about Needle Stick and sharp injuries among health care workers in Jordan. I chose this subject because it is a vital problem facing health care workers all over the world and especially in developing countries. I am interested in working in occupational health , infection control and continuous health education program .
In the future I would like to study further to obtain my PhD in health service management and work in teaching and research.
