Students with a keen interest in biomedical sciences and a strong commitment to work in this interdisciplinary field are invited to apply for one of our 14 doctoral studentships.
This competitive PhD program in Molecular Cell Biology and Oncology run by Innsbruck’s Universities and financed by the Austrian Science Fund aims to attract the most promising students from across the world. Students accepted into the program will receive comprehensive and challenging research training in a scientifically stimulating environment.
Research topics include:
• Ca2+ channels in nerve & muscle
• Signal transduction
• Apoptosis
• Cell cycle regulation
• Steroid receptors
• Tumor biology
Candidates must hold a master’s degree or equivalent in the biological sciences, medicine, pharmacy or physics, or anticipate receiving it in 2008. Good command of English is indispensable.

I am a research Assistant working under a project supervised by a professor, Department of Biochemistry and Moleculerbiology, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. However, I have applied for Phd. to a professor, University of Barcelona, Spain. He told me to collect a fellowship given by Spanish government or EU . I tried my best to know about the fellowship given either by spanish government or EU but I failed to collect any information regarding it.

I have a strong interest in Biotechnology in Structural Biology, cell and molecular approach,cancer biology & Cell and tissue engineering. I have completed my two year(four semester ) M.Sc., in Biotechnology from TUMKUR UNIVERSITY,TUMKUR,KARNATAKA,INDIA. M.Sc Biotechnology at TUMKUR UNIVERSITY is a two-years (four semesters) program covering all fields of BIOTECHNOLOGY. The early first semester cover a wide range of topics including basic Mathematics, basic computers, Cell biology&Genetics,General microbiology, Biochemistry,Biophysics,Biostatistics while, the second semester Molecular biology,Metabolisms of living organisms,Bioinformatics,Immunology . We had courses like Genetic Engineering,Animal & Plant Biotechnology,Environmental biotechnology in third semester. Because of my interests in Stem cell biology,Biochemistry,Molecular biology,Gene technology,Anti cancer drugs activity and practical application of Plant metabolic Engineering techniques relevant to Biotechnology& Biochemistry such as UV, IR, Mass, 1 H NMR and 13C NMR in structural elucidation & interpretation of proteins,amino acids in fourth-semester as my elective courses.
I requested to you please give me an opportunity to prove my knowledge.I did my project in how the enzymes influences the activity in different liquid detergent samples based on the GEN ENCORE & NOVOZYME STANDARD PROTOCOL based i determined the different competitor samples.
Another project on “Alterations in Steroidogenic Enzyme Expression in mice testis during Arsenic Intoxication”.

I am an Ethiopian. I want to do my phD degree in microbiology, particulary on the Microbial degradation of Metalic toxins. Previously I have done my Masters thesis on Microbiol ecology and Biomass of microorganisms in the recreational sites of Black Sea of Ukraine in 1992.
