Scholarship Open for International Students: No
Scholarship Description: Within the Hannover excellence cluster QUEST (Centre for Quantum Engineering and Space-Time Research), ZARM and IFE investigate concepts for future geodetic satellite missions. Precise satellite attitude and pointing control is a key component of such missions, e.g., for the inter-satellite ranging systems of the GRACE and GRACE Follow On missions. The candidate will review attitude control concepts meeting the specific requirements of a twin satellite inter-satellite ranging mission. He will implement satellite models in an existing ZARM simulator, carry out simulations on attitude dynamics, and investigate attitude control performance.
