PhD Research Studentship in Operational Research/ Management Science, University of Southampton, UK

Applications are invited for a PhD Research Studentship that is funded under the LANCS Initiative.  The research project should fall within one of the research clusters of the LANCS Initiative, which are:

-Transport and Logistics

-Healthcare

-Optimization

- Heuristic Understanding

- Systems to Build Systems

- Registration will either be in the School of Mathematics or in the School of Management.

The studentship is for three years.  It covers University tuition fees and provides a tax-free stipend of over £13,000 per year.

Candidates should have a First or Upper Second Class degree in a quantitative discipline, and preferably an MSc degree in Operational Research, Management Science, or a related discipline.  Also, evidence of English language proficiency is required for candidates not having English as a first language.
