Scholarship Description: The Relativistic Heavy Ion Group under the Discovery center of excellence, established by the Danish Basic Research Foundation at the Niels Bohr institute invites applications for a Ph.D. research studentship around the analysis and interpretation of data from the experiments at the LHC at CERN, notably the ALICE experiment, which the local group is a member of. The center encourages cross-cutting activities within the center, which also comprises particle physics, high energy theory and CMB physics. The local group currently has a special focus on hadronic physics over a wide kinematical range (rapidity) in ALICE and on high-energy phenomenology and invites applicants to submit research proposals.
