Job Description: A PhD fellowship is now available in the Centre for Electric Technology (CET) at DTU Electrical Engineering. CET employs currently about 20 PhD students and post docs in an international environment.

This PhD project will be concerned with evaluating the potential of utilizing distributed energy resources for ancillary services. This project is linked to a collaborative research project in the centre with other university and industry partners.

Qualifications
Applicants should have a master’s degree (or equally competence) in power systems and commitment to research. Research or practical experience in Distribution Network operation, Distributed Generation or Demand side management is preferred. Proficiency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite.

Approval and Enrolment
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval and the candidates will be enrolled in one of the general degree programmes of DTU. For information about the general requirements for enrolment and the general planning of the scholarship studies, please see the DTU PhD Guide.

Salary and appointment terms
The salary and appointment terms are consistent with the current rules for PhD degree students. The positions are available for a three-year period with start from 1 September 2010 or as soon as possible.
