Dear sir
I read your information and I hope you will help me for my PhD study
My name is Kebede Jobir, My country is Ethiopia( Africa); I graduated in Msc from Addis Ababa university (AAU) , My advisor was Proffesor Masresha Fetene Ecophysiologist AAU, Biology department, I study on Comparison of growth and yield of seven apple tree cultivars in three altitudes ranging from 2400 to 3200masl Gamo Gofa, Ethiopia
Dear sir
I want to work my PhD further on THE RESPONSE OF APPLE ROOTSTOCKS (selected rootstocks) AND APPLE TREE CULTIVARS TO SOIL ACIDIFICATION or on Organic Apple tree production or other related with apple trees.
Considering the very unfavourable effects of strong acidification on soil and plant growth, this study were aimed at determining the level of tolerance of selected apple rootstocks and apple tree cultivars that were found in the three highland study site. These high land are highly degraded and deforested, the people in the area were currently planting apple trees, but due to lack of research out comes the yield was less, this discouraged some farmers to expand apple plantation. I present my study on large workshop organized by regional government on apple plantation in high land areas, the farmers raised question which is mostly related with best and suitable cultivars that suite with the soil condition of their area which require further study on rootstocks and cultivars.
The out come helps to improve plant consrevation, because the farmers during planting apple trees they must plant other trees (which mostly is the indegenous Hajinia abysinica (kosso) used for soil fertility and other ) for wind breaks, not to remove pollen and immature fruit, thus this multi purpose activity encourage the community to protect and improve their livelihoods and also expand plant conservation.
Therefore I want you to finanacially help me to conduct my study in my country and abroad (sandwitch programme) or giving me information on how and whom to contact to get sponsor or scholar for my PhD study.
Thank you in advance for your response
Your sincerly
Kebede Jobir
