Summary
Successful candidate carries out experimental and theoretical (modelling) work on plant isoprene emission and collaborates with the members of the Tartu group as well as the other partner teams of the consortium, and publishes the results in international journals.
Description
Plant biology group is part of a consortium of four internationally recognized research teams. Other members of the consortium are Lund University, Sweden Dr. Almut Arneth; Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe, Germany Dr. Jorg-Peter Schnitzler, University of Colorado Prof. Russ K. Monson. The major task of the consortium is to develop and validate a mechanistic isoprene emission model that can be used to predict global change effects on plant isoprene emission fluxes. The task of the Tartu team in this consortium is to coordinate the isoprene emission model development. more..
