PhD Scholarships at the Department of Mathematics
Applications are invited for two 3-year PhD positions startingSeptember 1, 2008 at the Department of Mathematics.

The topic of one of the positions is:
Mathematical Modelling and Analysis of Marine Ecological Systems with Stage Structures and Size Spectres. The work will be carried out in collaboration with DTU Aqua (for details, see: www.mat.dtu.dk/English/Education/PhD/PhD Projects.aspx
The other position should be within the research areas of the department: Geometry, Applied Functional Analysis, Dynamical Systems and Discrete Mathematics. Example projects are: Iso-Geometric Analysis and Shape Optimization, Design and Synthesis of Solid/Fluid Interfaces, Analysis of Pattern Formation of Systems with Discrete Structures, and Optimal Decoding in the Frequency Domain (for further details on these projects, see www.mat.dtu.dk/English/Education/PhD/PhD Projects.aspx.
Applications with other projects that are defined in collaboration with Faculty at DTU Mathematics are also welcome.
Candidates should have a master degree in mathematics, applied mathematics or engineering, or equivalent academic qualifications.
The scholarships for the PhD degree are subject to academic approval,
and the candidates will be enrolled in the Research School of DTU Mathematics.
