Recto Street, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon, Mindanao Philippines. A graduate of Masters Degree of Management in the University of the Philippines. Presently I am working as a government employee for 25 long years in the Republic of the Philippines particularly in the Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Training Institute-Region-10 and working a Training Manager, a Resource Persons, Planner, and Evaluator.

Brief Description of Myself and my Developmental Endeavor

As an Agricultural Extension development worker for 25 years in the government of the Philippines greatly help broaden my personal perspective in various fields in agricultural extension, accounting, auditing and other related development activities. However, it is sad to note that, the working experiences, upgraded of qualifications, skills and various trainings and academic performances gained were not fully utilized due to very peculiar tasks handed to me with my inherent position. Thus, my career path run so very slowly that does not compensate my being.

B. MY CORE COMPETENCIES/STRENGTHS THAT HAS HELPED YOU TO MAXIMIZE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY IN PREVIOUS JOBS.

Consultancy job is a very challenging task but I guarantee you to be of a better performer and explorer, that I could be able to apply all the learning’s and skills gained especially in the field of agricultural extension e.g., project study preparation, feasibility study, business planning, farm plan and budgeting, planning, monitoring and evaluation, corn production management, food processing, flower arranging, accounting, internal auditing, bookkeeping and among others.

Working with the poor and underprivileged is my passion especially looking for their welfare and development. As a development worker for 25 years, I have been devoted most of my time working with the poor farmers and entrepreneurs in the country Philippines and that boasted my interest and enhance my motivation. We are now in the dynamic era, there is but a need to go with the trend of the fast changing environmental phenomenon specifically the trend of globalization in order to compete worldwide. With this, there is a need to continuously up-dating our knowledge and skills and take any opportunity to access on information technology in particular through cyberspace.

Nevertheless, communication is the basic premise in understanding and comprehending goods, thus, one should be equipped both verbal and non-verbal communication. This is also very useful in establishing networking development to our prospective clients. Leadership skills shall be sharpened which could be utilized in influencing people’s lives. Development of positive values will enhance personal relationship both clients and co-workers in the workplace, especially in understanding cultural diversity and values.

However, human resource development should be continuously undertaken so that to gauge comparative advantages in regards to core competencies. The fact that, human resource is the greatest resource that a company should take into consideration. This could only be attained through undertaking and sponsoring a continuous education and training development programs. Business planning, project study, farm plan and budgeting and feasibility study are developmental essential basis that will serve as the roadmap for every economic, social and political undertakings we get into and in order to help attain the success and sustained success of every endeavor.

Community organizing basically is the basic step for undertaking and introducing any development activities of which, one should undertake walk through activities, identification individual and group needs through administering survey questionnaires or direct contact with the prospective clients, and undertake SWOT analysis for one to determine the strategic options to take into. Thus, individuals or organized group shall formulate a strategic plan through the process of formulating ones vision, mission, goals, undertake Strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats analysis then undertake scheduling of activities using PERT-CPM, Decision Tree analysis, benchmarking and other effective strategic management tools that is applicable to any social and economic and even political undertaken.

Economist contend that, financial status will serve as the focal point of every endeavor while, marketing will serve as the lifeblood of every business endeavor. Moreover, the most basic consideration to determine is that, the “Customer is the “King” and it should be the first consideration to take into, then, market volume serve as the power, quality of product serve as the trust of the company and sustained of supply will build relationship and networking. The four (4) Ps of marketing in the business should be used as a benchmark in establishing effective market niche; however, one should consider first the industry analysis specifically, determining the gap between Supply and demand and that gap sill serve as the basis to determine its market share in the industry.

An understanding of Human behavior is very significant on the performance of every individual or group in an organization and workplace. A motivational factor specifically responding to the basic human needs of an individual or group shall be taken into consideration as what advocated by Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs. Thus, every one in the company shall as much as possible exhibit powerful communication and leadership skills that will help influence individual or group personalities’ in support to any economic, social and political undertakings. According to some researchers they said that, effective management is the key factors on the success of any undertakings. With this, the functions of management e.g. planning, staffing, directing, leading and organizing shall be seriously be given importance, especially to undertake a bottoms-up planning, defining ones respective roles rights and privileges of employees, so that to avoid gaps and overlapping of functions and it will also serve a benchmark in planning, monitoring and evaluation as to whether the goals and objectives have effectively and efficiently meet, and for further corrections and adjustments to the goals and objectives if gaps have been determined and observed.

The components of a feasibility study, business plan, project study basically have a similar content. Wherein, marketing study is the first component of the study that shall priority determine, which, serve as the lifeblood of any endeavor; particularly determining the customer’s needs, wants, desires and even obsessions; undertaking industry analysis in order to determine the gap between supply and demand, that will serve as the basis of the company’s market share in the industry. Then, one could already proceed to make one’s marketing plan. Technical study is vital in order to produce excellent quality products and in achieving an efficient and effective production goal. Moreover, determining the sources and sustainability of raw materials’, the volume of production and its corresponding production costs; and the strategic location of the business is worthwhile determining. The third component of a project study is management, thus, turn over of personnel is usually one of the major problems encounter by the company, thus one should be properly motivated, and an organizational contract shall be engaged between employer and employee. The conduct of a continuous education and training program of the company shall be done in order to develop and gain employees core competencies leading to comparative advantage in regards to manpower capability and capacitating. Defining individuals and groups roles, functions, responsibilities, rights, and privileges is vital so that to refrain from encountering problems on overlapping of functions and in determining effective process flow and line of command of authority; moreover, understanding remuneration of both parties. Finally, the financial aspect of a project study will serve as the focal point of any endeavor and of greatest interest of all stakeholders. The basic financial statements e.g., Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Balance Sheet shall be consistently prepared by the company. This is to determine how the organization is operating in regards to its profitability and its existing condition. The significant of the establishment of the company’s books of accounts e.g., books of original entry and final entry; and the maintenance of subsidiary ledgers are of equally important to prepare and maintain. An internal control shall be established so that a benchmark for check and balance consistent to the policies of the company and to refrain from the occurrence of future fraud. Moreover, in addition to the traditional component of a project study it is suggested to incorporate and consider the fifth component which is the Socio Economic Aspect; through determining the cost benefit ratio, payback period, breakeven point and its contribution to the locality both human and financial contribution such as: productivity; empowerment; employment; increase income; self reliance, among others.

It is also very advantageous if I will be working in your country with my family, since they could help me respond and support my personal and official needs. Moreover, they would also serve as an inspiration on my career path. Life in this country is very much experiencing economic upheavals. Our buying power could not cope-up with the fast increasing prices of the basic commodities.
