Scholarship Description: The project is focused on dissecting the role of mitochondrial genome role in the autoimmunity. For this purpose, investigate a mouse modle of autoimmune blistering skin disease in unique set of mitochondrial DNA mutant mouse strains. In addition to in vivo experiments, characterization and functional analysis of immune cells and mitochondria will be carried out.
