Kathy is currently leading the development of an Early Years Arts Forum with Tower Hamlets local authority in London, bringing together a range of arts workers and practitioners engaged in action research in their individual settings. She is also an invited member of the recently formed steering group ‘ReFocus North Yorkshire’. This local authority led group, with its links to the national ‘Sightlines’ organisation, is committed to supporting and developing understanding of children as researchers and is particularly influenced by the work of ‘Reggio Children’ in Italy.
