Cranfield University are seeking to recruit new PhD students to join our team of physical scientists and engineers in the development of the next generation of sustainable, high performance sports facilities. You will join a dynamic and diverse group of researchers who are working closely with industry to improve the sustainability, safety and performance of sports surfaces.
Projects are available on a number of themes:
Developing sustainable surfaces:
This theme is investigating how to design new sports surfaces, and modify existing facilities to produce more sustainable surfaces using both natural and synthetic approaches. You will be involved in the development and assessment of best practice management at a range of scales.
