PhD Studentship: High Throughput Biopharmaceutical Process Analysis Using a Novel Micro-Capillary, UK
PhD Studentship at Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology in University of Cambridge
A fully-funded, EPSRC Industrial CASE studentship is available for UK and EU students to work in collaboration with MedImmune on a high-throughput process analytical tool (PAT) for the in-process monitoring of antibody and contaminant profiles during the manufacture of monoclonal antibodies. The primary focus will be the direct monitoring of monoclonal antibody (Mab) in cell culture, but the technique will be equally applicable to the monitoring of downstream processing operations and potentially to monitoring contaminant levels. The project will implement high-throughput analytical separations within an extruded flat film, modular format, MicroCapillary Film (MCF), which has been invented in the Cambridge laboratory. An industrial top-up award to the award holder will apply.
