Eligibility:
Candidates must have an officially recognized master degree in biological, (bio)medical or life sciences or equivalent with a molecular/cellular orientation. (or equivalent). Final-year students are (likewise) encouraged to apply.

Scholarship Description: The successful applicant will be working in a project on “Stress pathways in CNS injuries” with a special emphasis on thermic and psycho-emotional stressors. He/she will make use of in vitro and in vivo models to study basic mechanisms of stress responses in the context of CNS injuries. The project includes a broad spectrum of biochemical and neuroimmunological techniques such as cell and brain slice cultures, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology and behavior tests.
