Applications are invited for four PhD studentships at Brunel Law School, for students starting at Brunel University in the 2008/9 academic year.
The studentships carry a fee-waiver for the amount of the home/EU PhD tuition fees, plus a bursary of £9,000 per annum, for up to three years.
The research topic will be within an area of expertise of a member of the Law staff. A list of such areas can be found here: /about/acad/law/phd
Applicants will normally hold a good postgraduate degree and a good honours degree (First Class or 2.1 Honours) in Law, will be very highly motivated, and will possess excellent communication skills. Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an interview.
Each successful candidate will be expected to teach up to 120 hours per academic year, normally on core undergraduate modules (and not necessarily in the area of research), and will be entitled to take the University’s course leading to the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
