University College Dublin is pleased to offer two four-year PhD studentships at the UCD School of Medicine, Health Sciences Centre. The successful applicants will work on a project aimed to establish new methods to accurately predict bull fertility with or without semen sorting.

Scholarship can be taken in the Ireland

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have a degree in a relevant life sciences discipline (upper second class honours or higher grade) and have a keen interest in male reproduction, especially in working with spermatozoa.
  • Applicants should have extraordinary engagement, excellent communication skills (oral and written) and good organisational skills including an ability to work to deadlines.
  • Previous experience in research is highly desirable.

Nationality: Citizens of Ireland can apply for PhD studentships.

College Admission Requirement

Entrance Requirement: Applicants must have master’s degree.

English Language Requirement: Teaching in Irish Universities is normally through the medium of English; therefore all applicants are required to demonstrate a high level of competence in the English language. Applicants who have not passed English as a subject in the Irish Leaving Certificate Examination must provide evidence of equivalent competence in the English language through their school leaving examination or matriculation examination or by achieving the minimum standard in a recognised English language test.
