Phil Hoffmann Travel Scholarship, Australia
The Phil Hoffmann Travel Scholarship provides financial assistance to a student enrolled in an undergraduate degree offered by the Faculty of Education, Humanities, Law and Theology to enhance their learning through either a program of study or a particular educational experience in Australia or overseas. One scholarship valued at $5,000 will be awarded annually to a student enrolled on either a full-time or part-time basis.
Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia and be enrolled in an undergraduate degree, (including Honours), offered by the Faculty of Education, Humanities, Law and Theology. Students undertaking a Bachelor of Arts degree which is not part of a combined degrees program offered by the Faculty of Education, Humanities, Law and Theology are not eligible. Applicants must have successfully completed at the time of travel a minimum of 36 units towards their degree and have their program of study or educational experience count as credit towards their degree.
The scholarship will provide an economy class return air fare and assistance towards living expenses to a total value of $5,000. The successful applicant will be required to make arrangements for domestic and international travel related to their program of study or educational experience through Phil Hoffmann Travel.
The scholarship recipient is required to submit within one month of completing the program of study or educational experience a brief written report describing the activities undertaken and provide an account of expenditure.
Applications must be made on the prescribed form, which can be downloaded from the University website, or available from the Higher Degree Administration and Scholarships Office, and lodged by the specified closing date.
