Eligibility:
• These awards are only available to applicants who are liable to pay academic fees at the home/EU fee rate; international candidates should apply for the overseas award.
• Applicants must usually hold at least a UK Upper Second Class Honours degree or equivalent plus an MA or MSc at Merit level or equivalent;
• Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the University’s English Language requirements;
• These awards are not open to individuals who have already been awarded a Doctoral degree.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Yes
Scholarship Description: POLIS is offering one fees plus maintenance and one fees only scholarship to Home/EU students taking a POLIS PhD programme. POLIS is also offering one fees only scholarship to international students taking a POLIS PhD programme.Small amounts may also be awarded as partial fee waivers to excellent candidates who have arranged funds from other sources but who still have a small shortfall. This part of the budget is managed on a case-by-case basis; in previous years we were able to help several outstanding students to enrol in the School.
