Positions are open for postdoctoral candidates starting from January
2008 to investigate molecular mechanisms underlying chronic pain in mice
at the Pharmacology Institute of the Medical Faculty of University of
Heidelberg.
Two projects are to be offered:
1) Mechanisms underlying tumor-nerve interactions in cancer pain:
Candidates should have an established background with pain models in
mice or rats.
2) Plasticity at spinal synapses and in nociceptors using patch clamp
recordings on spinal cord slices or nerve recordings: A strong
background in electrophysiology is desired.

positions will be funded according to the german scale (BATIIa).
