Post-doc position in Experimental Psychology, Ghent University, Belgium

The Department of Experimental Psychology, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences, Ghent University, is offering a post-doctoral position, starting from 1 February 2009. Assignments are for a fixed term of three years (potentially renewable).

We expect the successful candidate to conduct research in the domain of cognitive experimental psychology, ideally within one or more of the department’s current interests (e.g., Psycholinguistics and Cognitive Control; see http://expsy.ugent.be/research/). We further expect the candidates to make a contribution to teaching. Therefore, *proficiency in the Dutch language is essential!* The research component of the post is minimally 70%.

Profile

- You hold the title of Doctor. You need to have defended before you can begin the post.

- You have conducted experimental research on cognitive processes

- You have published in widely distributed, international peer-reviewed journals

- You have presented your work at international conferences that are relevant to the domain of cognitive experimental psychology

- the ability and willingness to participate in the department’s Dutch-language teaching program
