Post Doctoral Fellow:Diluted Magnetic Semiconductor for Potential Spi,Saudi Arabia
Job Summary:
They seek highly motivated individuals holding a PhD degree in physics, physical electronics or other relevant disciplines. The candidate should have several years experience in diluted magnetic semiconductor related research; including experience in magnetic measurements and spin polarization techniques such as the SQUID technique, the Hall measurements, the X-ray magnetic circular dichroism measurements and spintronics devices; full understanding of magnetic behaviour of diluted magnetic semiconductor films and nanostructures. Experience of structural and optical characterization is an added advantage. The successful candidate will work in a rich scientific environment through collaboration project with Imperial College London, funded by Global Collaborative Research (GCR) at KAUST.

Major Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be involved in the collaborative project on diluted
magnetic ZnO doped with potential dopants for new generation of spintronic devices. Depending on the candidate’s interests, part of the project can also be devoted to processing and characterization of devices.
Responsibilities :
•Carrying out magnetic characterizations
and analysis
•Carrying out structural characterizations
•In consultation with supervisor, deciding
on research directions and goals, within remit of original project proposal
•Contributing to the documentation of all research results for inclusion in papers, reports and presentations, and contributing
to the preparation of papers through completed drafts, reports and presentations
•Supporting of less experienced members of the project team eg
Technical Skills:
The successful candidate must have several years experience in magnetic measurements and spin polarization techniques such as the SQUID technique, the Hall measurements, the X-ray magnetic circular dichroism measurements.
A high level of self-motivation, professional competence and a good command of oral and written English, PC skills,the ability to work in a team as well as alone, and good organizational skills are essential.
Required Education:
The successful candidate must hold a Ph.D. in physics or other relevant disciplines and must have several years experience in the field of magnetic diluted semiconductor.
