Post Doctoral Fellowship of Pasteur Foundation 2010,New York
Job Description: Pasteur Foundation administers this fellowship program to bring U.S. postdoctoral researchers to work in any one of the 130+ Institut Pasteur laboratories in Paris. Guided by the institute’s administration, which seeks to develop international scientific exchanges to ensure the vitality of Institut Pasteur labs, this program is open to American citizens who are not already in France and who have received their PhD degree within the last five years.
The three-year fellowship package is $70,000 annually: $55,000 fellowship plus $15,000 bench fees to support the research. For more information, please download the application guidelines here.
The first step is to identify a host laboratory at the institute to sponsor your application.
In collaboration with the Institut Pasteur, the Pasteur Foundation administers this program to bring U.S.
postdoctoral researchers to work in Pasteur laboratories in Paris thanks to the generosity of our U.S. donors.
Guided by the institute’s administration which seeks to develop international exchanges to ensure the vitality of Institut Pasteur labs, this program is for A merican citizens and does not apply to candidates already in
France . Fellowships are $70,000 ($55,000 fellowship plus $15,000 bench fees to support the research) per year for a term of three years and are not renewable. Financing for the second and third years is contingent upon positive annual review by the host lab head. Candidates are expected to c ommit to a three-year stay.
We try to hold at least one call for applicants each year (September), and sometimes two
(February and September). February applicants are notified in April and recipients must
commence their fellowships by December 1st. September applicants are notified in
November and recipients must commence their fellowships by June 1st.
