Post Doctoral Position Immunology Hannover Germany

Funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), this
3-year project aims at carrying out a comprehensive study in order to
investigate immunological mechanisms that may confer natural resistance
to hepatitis C virus infection. The impact of the innate immune system
and heterologous immunity and CD8 T-cell cross-reactivity will be the
main topics. The work will be carried out in Hannover under the
instruction of PD Dr. H. Wedemeyer and Dr. M. Cornberg. The lab consists
of 3 medical trained persons, 4 PhD students, 2 technicians.
You should be highly motivated and have a PhD and relevant technical
experience in immunological (FACS, cytokine assays) and molecular
techniques (i.e. TCR analysis). The Medical School of Hannover has
first-class facilities in order to carry such studies and is
internationally renowned.
The project is fixed for 36 months with an option for additional 36
months. The salary is E13 according to TV-L
