Applicants are invited to apply for a postdoctoral fellowship in the area of DNA repair. This research project will focus on understanding molecular mechanisms of DNA repair in eukaryotes. In particular, we would like to address the biochemical/molecular mechanisms of action of a novel DNA repair complex.

Applicants must have extensive experience in using biochemical and molecular biology techniques to study DNA modifying enzymes. Experience in studying biochemical and molecular aspects of DNA replication/repair complexes (e.g. DNA polymerases) would be particularly desirable but other applicants with relevant experience will also be considered.

The MRC Genome Damage and Stability Centre is an internationally renowned Institute carrying out research on the response of cells to DNA damage, genome instability and its relationship to human disease. We provide a stimulating and supportive environment and our expertise covers a range of experimental systems.
