Post Doctoral Research Position
Description : A position is now available in the Departments of Neurology and Radiology at the Washington University in Louis. Description: Research in the host laboratory focuses on the development and clinical application of quantitative MRI methods. Current projects in the laboratory include the development of methods for acquisition, processing and analysis of images from multiple modalities with applications towards a greater understanding of disease states including HIV, Alzheimer’s disease, and aging. Anticipated activities entail development and implementation of imaging techniques at the pulse sequence design, image reconstruction, and image data processing and analysis. Opportunities will be provided for pursuing own research interests in multi-modality image analytic techniques. Individuals with a background in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering or computer science will be considered Resources utilized in this longitudinal study will include a multiple 1.5 and 3.0T MRI scanners, experimental presentation software (e-Prime), and analysis platforms based in MATLAB and UNIX. Requirements: At least a BA/ BS with degrees in computer sciences, biomedical or electrical engineering, or related field considered. Proficiency in C/C++ programming for pulse sequence and data analysis algorithm development, proficiency in linear algebra, and familiarity with code development under IDL, Unix, Linux, and Matlab, Skills that would be a plus: Freesurfer, Perl, statistics packages such as R, SAS.
