Postdoc Position in Immunology, University of Luebeck, Germany: The research group of Prof. Dr. Westermann at the Institute of Anatomy invites applications for a postdoctoral position (E-13) at the University of Luebeck. The position is available from January 1st 2009.
The project is part of a collaborative research center in Luebeck (SFB 654, Plasticity and Sleep) and is based on the regulation of immune responses by sleep with a special focus on the development of CD4 T cell memory. This position offers the opportunity for cooperation and interaction with the Excellence Initiative “Inflammation at Interfaces” in Borstel, Kiel, Luebeck and Ploen.
The project involves morphological, molecular biological and immunological techniques mainly in mouse models (immunohistology, fluorescence microscopy, MACS- or FACS-based cell separations, adoptive cell transfer, gene expression analysis, laser-microdissection).
Candidates must hold a PhD university degree in biology, biochemistry, medicine or a related discipline. The applicant should be interested in cell biology and immunology and should have experience in immunological, protein- and biochemical approaches.
