Postdoc position on development of predictive models for property prediction

CAPEC at DTU Chemical Engineering (Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering) is looking for a suitably qualified person for a 1-year post-doctoral position for working on a project to develop predictive models for property prediction of complex chemical systems. The qualified candidate should have a PhD-degree from a recognized university in the area of property prediction and thermodynamics, interested in modelling of properties with the group contribution (GC) and connectivity index (CI), so that the application ranges of current molecular property models could be extended by converting them to GC-CI based models.

This project is within research program A (properties and phenomena modelling) and will be supervised by Professor Rafiqul Gani. More information about CAPEC can be found at www.capec.kt.dtu.dk and about DTU Chemical Engineering at www.kt.dtu.dk.

The project is scheduled to start from 1 November 2008. The salary and appointment terms are negotiated in accordance with the current collective agreement for Danish University faculty members.
