Positions Available:
The Center for Composite Materials Research (CCMR) is the premier research
center for composite materials and structures in the North Carolina A&T
State University, Greensboro, NC. Faculty from departments of Mechanical,
Chemical and Civil & Architectural Engineering, Mathematics, and Chemistry
participate in the center?s research. The center is known for its innovation
materials and applications in the aerospace and marine transportation areas.
The center has been richly supported by a number federal agencies (ONR,
NASA, ARO, AFRL, FAA) and industries. The current research activities need
additional research personnel to support following area of research
? Aerodynamic-CFD modeling and test verification for fixed, rotary,
and flapping wings.
? Structural dynamics: modeling and test verification of high rate
events; experience in analysis tools like LSDYNA or similar codes is highly
desirable.
? Composite materials and structures: Analytical modeling, advanced
material processing, and test evaluation of materials and structures.
Candidates with PhD in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Civil Engineering or
equivalent with specialization in the above areas are encouraged to apply.
Persons with MS degree and extensive experience will also be considered.

2008, however it will be open till filled. Positions will be available from
September 1, 2008. Note all positions are temporary and the initial offer is
for one-year period and may be extend indefinitely depending on the
performance of the candidate and availability of funds.
