Postdoc Self-assembly of Colloids through Anisotropic Interactions, Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e), Netherlands
Job description:
We will study structure formation in colloidal materials by producing particles with anisotropic attractive interactions, tunable in strength from reversible to irreversible. We will use these systems as a colloidal model for supramolecular polymers, where stacking occurs through highly anisotropic non-covalent interactions. In our colloidal model system we will be able to directly study the kinetics of structure formation and the resulting morphologies by direct imaging in a confocal microscope.
Requirements:
We are looking for a motivated researcher to fill a post-doc position at the ICMS in the area of experimental soft matter. Candidates should have experience in experimental techniques such as confocal microscopy, rheology, light scattering, or microfluidics – preferably having conducted their PhD research in soft matter physics, materials science or a related area.

Gross monthly salaries € 2861,- to € 2977,- in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement of the Dutch Universities (CAO NU). Moreover 8% bonus share (holiday supplement) is provided annually.
