Fabrizio d’Adda di Fagagna’s group has an opening for a creative and motivated research fellow at the postdoctoral level. The candidate will capitalize on our recent discovery of DNA replication alterations and DNA damage response activation by activated oncogenes1,2 and will set this observation in the context of cellular senescence3, cancer4 and ageing. The research project will benefit from the support of an existing network of collaborators, from a number of promising leads and from the direct access to human tumors and mouse models. Mammalian cultured cells and viral vectors will be used in combination with molecular and cell biology techniques. A scientific background in DNA replication might be advantageous.
The successful candidates will be career-oriented and energetic and capable to take full advantage of the interactive research environment at IFOM-IEO Campus (www.ifom-ieo-campus.it).

The Campus hosts 500 people and results from the integration of two of the main Italian cancer research institutes: IFOM (FIRC Institute of Molecular Oncology) and IEO (European Institute of Oncology), hosting a total of 35 independent research groups, the PhD program of SEMM (European School of Molecular Medicine), a consortium of technological facilities (Cogentech) and Biotech companies.

This appointment is part of the International Post Doc program, a novel initiative of the Campus to attract and train future group leaders. The package includes a competitive salary (36.000 euros/year), managerial and scientific training and a number of benefits.
