The Institute of Physics and Technology, University of Bergen is offering position of postdoctoral fellow in space physics for a period of 3 years, associated with Birkeland Centre for Space Science (BCSS). Eligibility: -The postdoctoral fellow will be part of the research group related to question 3 The group studies the chemical and dynamical effects in the neutral atmosphere caused by high-energetic particle precipitation. Particle energy are primarily estimated by employing data from several satellites td NOAA / POES. The atmospheric effects host observed from both ground stations and a number of different satellites (eg ENVISAT, TIMED, ODIN, AURA, etc.).
-The successful candidate must have achieved a Norwegian doctorate in space physics, atmospheric physics or a related field, or equivalent education abroad, or have presented the dissertation for assessment by the application deadline. It is a prerequisite that the dissertation has been approved before appointment is granted.
