Ref No 00205/2008. please contact; Rune Toftgård, are welcome from talented scientists that have a background in cell- and molecular biology. Experience from work with FACS and/or genetically modified mouse models is valuable. Good communication skills in English are essential. are available in the laboratory of Rune Toftgård. The scientific interest of our laboratory is to understand the molecular mechanisms of Hedgehog signalling and the role of this signalling pathway in cancer development and control of stem cell proliferation and maintenance ( see Lauth M et al., PNAS 104, 8455, 2007 and Svard J et al., Dev Cell 10, 187-97, 2006). Characterization and functional analysis of skin and mammary stem cells and applying a chemical biology approach to Hh-signalling are areas of particular interest. We use advanced in vivo mouse models as well as in vitro systems.
