Job Description: The institute of cardiovascular regeneration is dedicated to elucidate the basic mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease and vessel growth with the aim of developing new therapies for improving the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position available at the Institute for Cardiovascular Regeneration at the University of Frankfurt (Germany).

Our work is focussed on the epigenetic control of gene expression and microRNAs during stem cell differentiation. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. or M.D. degree. Experience in epigenetics, molecular biology and protein biochemistry would be advantageous. We seek highly innovative, curious, and interactive candidates to join our team. Our research is supported by the Excellence Cluster Cardiopulmonary Systems, the Transatlantic Network of Cardiac Regeneration (Leducq Foundation) and by the European Research Council.
Qualification:
We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate, who wants to work in an efficient team to address new and challenging aspects of erythropoiesis and iron.
-PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, Medicine, Genetics, Bioinformatics or related field
-Good record of publications (minimum 2 publications IF>6).
-Languages: English (required).
-Skills: Molecular cloning, cell culture, biochemical and/or genetic techniques, FACS analysis, microscopy techniques, animals handling, bioinformatics

-Salary: commensurate with experience and profile
-Starting: from November 2010
