Postdoctoral Position, Motor Network Function, Karolinska Institute, Sweden
Job Description:
The position is part of The Strategic Program in Neuroscience at the Karolinska Institutet.
The Kiehn laboratory studies the development and functional organization of neuronal networks controlling locomotion. Recent experiments have defined interneuron circuitries involved in regulating left-right coordination and speed. We are now focusing on populations of neurons in the brainstem and spinal cord that are generating the rhythmic activity. The function of these populations will be investigated using a combination of transgenic strategies and electrophysiology. Area of responsibilities/duties:
We seek a person with solid experience in intracellular electrophysiology and systems neuroscience.
