Job Description: In the group of Prof. Dr. Martin Bähler, Institut für Molekulare Zellbiologie, Westfalian Wilhelms-University Münster, there is an opening for a talented Postdoctoral/Research Associate (TV-L 13) to work on motor properties of class IX myosins using single molecule assays. Experiences in single molecule assays would be advantageous. Candidates should hold a PhD degree in either biology, biophysics or physical chemistry and be highly motivated to advance a research project. We are a dynamic and well equipped group. An adequate participation in teaching obligations of the group is expected. Starting date is October 1, 2010 or by agreement. The position is available initially for 2 years with the possibility of extension.
