Three Postdoctoral Positions in Synthetic Inorganic Chemistry/Homogeneous Catalysis at the van ‘t Hoff Institute for Molecular Sciences, University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

Applications are welcome for 3 postdoctoral positions in the group of Supramolecular & Homogeneous Catalysis, led by Professor Dr Joost Reek.

The successful, eager applicants (M/F) should have PhD. degrees in Chemistry with significant relevant experience and a keen interest in high-level research in a friendly, competitive environment. Due to grant restrictions, residents of American and EU countries and associated states are preferred. Good knowledge of English is required. Initial appointment is for 1 year with possible extension upon positive evaluation. Salaries and benefits are of high standards. Private funding is highly appreciated and recommended. Starting dates are flexible; positions are open from present till filled.     I am Massoumeh Abbasi, and would like very much do get a post doctoral position in your group. At present, I received my Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry from Shiraz University Shiraz , Iran .
    I have worked on bio-inorganic aspects of porphyrin chemistry under the supervision of Prof. D. Mohajer.
    Based on my academic experiences, I have a very strong background in inorganic chemistry and also a wide range of practical and analytical skills ideally suitable for continuing my carrier as a researcher in research environments.     I am from Ethiopia. I studied chemistry in BSc and MSc. (Inorganic chemistry) in Addis Ababa University. At present I am Inorganic Chemistry Lecturer in Hawassa University.

    In Academic areas: Advising students in different project work and laboratory activities, teaching different inorganic chemistry courses, writing Modules…etc

    My Research Topic of MSc study: Synthesis and Characterization of Cu (II), Cu (I) and Zn (II) Polymeric Macrocyclic Complexes as Potential Catalytic, Anti Fungal and Anti Bacterial Activities. And I scored an Excellent grade (A)

    Experiences in Administrative Activities: Four (4) Years as a Student Dean, Two(2) Years as a Main Campus Administrator, Three (3) Years as Campus Beautification Head related to Environmental Protection through Planting different trees and grass (about 30,000 trees were planted within these three years)… etc.
