Position: POST-DOCTORAL RESEARCH ASSOCIATE in MEMS

Koç is a private University in a beautiful campus setting located in Istanbul and it
is one of the top-ranking Universities in Turkey based on faculty awards and
publications.
Qualifications:
· PhD degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering (or MS or equivalent degree and 5 years experience in research environment)
· Highly motivated and passionate about technology and working in an R&D environment
· Strong scientific publication record
· Strong background in design and testing of MEMS
· Experience with ANSYS finite element modeling
· Microfabrication experience is a plus
· Familiarity with optical/opto-mechanical system testing is a plus.
· Experience with Matlab and Labview are plus

Job Description:
The Optical Microsystems Laboratory (OML) is looking for a postdoctoral
researcher to join a team of researchers developing a novel miniaturized and
portable MEMS-based display, imaging, and spectroscopy systems. There are
currently several funded projects with funding from the Industry (USA and
Turkey) and the European Union 7th framework research program (in
collaboration with several other European partners). Compensation is highly
competitive in European standards and depends on experience. A fully furnished
room in an apartment will be provided for easy transition to living in Istanbul.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Manage administration of the European research project
- Work closely with MS and PhD students in the group and other team
members in Europe
