The University of Agder invites applications for a temporary full-time position for a period of two years as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Information Systems. The position is intended to strengthen two of the focused research areas in the Department of Information Systems: e-Government and emergency management information systems. Eligibility: –A high level of oral and written proficiency in English is required. Fluency in a Scandinavian language is also preferred.
-The post-doctoral research fellow should be able to work targeted, orderly, focused and independent. The assessment emphasizes the applicant’s’ doctoral thesis, other published research work, and the project proposal. Relevant experience, personal capability and teamwork skills will also be assessed. Short-listed applicants will be invited for interviews. With the applicant’s permission, UiA will also conduct a reference check before appointment.
-The successful applicant will have rights and obligations in accordance with the current regulations for the Civil Service. Organisational changes and changes in the duties and responsibilities of the position must be expected.
-Appointment is made by the University of Agder’s Appointments Committee for Teaching and Research Positions.

Scholarship Description: The University of Agder invites applications for a temporary full-time position for a period of two years as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Information Systems. The position is located at Campus Gimlemoen, Kristiansand, Norway. The starting date is negotiable. The post-doctoral fellow will be expected to contribute to research on how ICT may facilitate collaboration and interoperation between actors involved in emergency management, across municipal, regional and national levels. The objective is to support effective information sharing between emergency management stakeholders through integration of information from available sources, contributing to enhanced resilience and situational awareness.

What does it cover? The position is remunerated in the State salary plan 17.510, Postdoctoral Research Fellow, code 1352, salary grade 60-67(NOK 498.900–NOK 568.700). A 2 % compulsory pension contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund is deducted from the pay according to current statutory provisions.
