Sir/Madam,
I have submitted my Ph.D. thesis on 1st of April, 2009 and the degree will be awarded by the end of October, 2009. My thesis title is” Population status, identification of elite clones, their in vitro multiplication and studies of genetic diversity by RAPD markers in Picrorhiza scrophulariiflora Pennell. and Gaultheria fragrantissima Wall.” In this research project, i have identified two elite clones (i.e., one each from these two species), determined the current status of these two threatened medicinal plants, developed tissue culture protocol for mass production as well as for ex-situ conservation and studied genetic diversity using RAPD technique. Therefore, I shall be grate ful if you help me to get Post Doct position in related position to continue my research further. I am interested to work on isolation and characterization of novel gene of plant origin and to study the expression of the same gene in E. coli.

I am Dr. Jayappa, have completed my doctoral degree from the University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore, Karnataka, India. I worked on “Exploration and evaluation of insect species for antimicrobial activity”, in which i have screened 40 insect species for antimicrobial activity against five human pathogens and an insect pathongen. Apart from screening I have standardised the protocol for extraction of antimicrobial compounds which is suitable for both small and large sized insects. From my research i have identified few promising leads, which can be taken up for further investigation till isolation of comound of interest. Therefore I seeking your kind help to get post doc position in related field to continue research.

I am Chandrappa S Research Scholar, UGC Fellowship Awardee, Government of India in the Department of Studies in Chemistry, University of Mysore, Mysore, Karnataka, India.
My significant research thesis entitled “Synthesis, Characterization and Biological Studies of Novel Substituted Thiazolidinone Derivatives” has submitted to the University of Mysore, Mysore for the Award of Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry with specialized in the area of Bioorganic and Medicinal Chemistry under the guidance of Prof. K. S. Rangappa, Department of Studies in Chemistry, University of Mysore, Mysore.
I have contributed towards scientific field in synthesis of novel heterocyclic thiazolidinone derivatives. The detailed structural information was studied using 1H, 13C NMR and LC/MS analysis experiments for synthesized heterocyclic molecules. Besides, I am trained in biological study like anticancer(leukemia), antiulcer and anti-inflammatory fields.The involvements of above aspects have published in reputed International Journals.
I am interesting to pursue my Post Doctoral Research as I am having seven years of research experience in the field of synthetic and bioorganic chemistry(Four years Synthetic experience in BIOCON COMPANY handled Bristol Myers Squibb Projects). I would be greatful if my application is considered.
