Eligibility: The applicant must have a PhD degree in either Chemistry or Physics (or equivalent thereof), including significant experience in magic-angle spinning (MAS) NMR experimentation on inorganic materials.

Scholarship Description: The Department of Materials and Environmental Chemistry at Stockholm University is internationally well-acknowledged for developing and characterizing modern materials, where solid-state NMR represents one of the characterization techniques. Our research is focused on developing and applying solid-state NMR spectroscopy for structural investigations of inorganic materials, in particular glasses and mesoporous materials.We are inviting a self-motivated and creative individual to apply for one postdoctoral opening that involves solid-state NMR to investigate the structures of rare-earth based aluminosilicate glasses.

Duration of award: The position involves a full time employment for 12 months, with the possibility of further extension up to two years.

Selection criteria: The selection is based primarily on experience and scientific excellence in the field of solid-state NMR on inorganic materials. Previous experience with NMR hardware developments is considered a significant advantage.
