Postdoctoral Research Position in the Laboratory for Aging Research and Cognitive Diseases (Göttingen, Germany)
The laboratory for Aging Research and Cognitive Diseases at the European Neuroscience Institute in Göttingen has
immediate openings for Postdoctoral Researchers
Using mice as model organisms our laboratory investigates how epigenetic processes such as histone-acetylation and DNA methylation affect neuronal function, learning and memory. We combine molecular, cellular and behavioral experimental approaches. Our particular interest is the deregulation of epigenetic mechanisms during the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative and psychiatric diseases such as Morbus Alzheimer and anxiety disorders.
Candidates should have a strong background in mouse genetics, molecular techniques and neuronal cell culture.
Applications from candidates having a strong background in electrophysiology are also encouraged.
Salary is according to TV-L E13 (standard public service salary)
